Assistive Media
Assistive Media is an Ann Arbor, MI, non-profit entity that produces on-line audio recordings of literary works for persons with text-reading/access barriers...free-of-charge.

Books on Tape
Has a large collection (all unabridged) of contemporary popular fiction, the classics, and a good bit of nonfiction. And the cassettes play on regular tape players. Their prices are a little high in my opinion, but it's worth checking out. I think they may also have a rental program.

Large Print Book Publishers
The Library Reproduction Service is a large print book publisher, with over 50 classics and children's literature in 18-20 point type size. Newsline For the Blind Network™
NewslineŽ is now making it possible for blind individuals to gain access to the information in newspapers at the same time as their sighted colleagues, friends, and family over the phone. The national NewslineŽ network now provides the major, national newspapers and local newpapers as a part of the ongoing service. The National Federation of the Blind Website has all the information, history and application for this service.

Project Gutenberg at the University of Illinois has been working to put public domain books on the net. Entire text of books can be downloaded and Jaws users can get the computer to read them.
