This is an important decision for an individual to make. The care required for the animal, along with, the person’s travel habits and needs when considering this type of commitment.

Accessibility for Service Animals
In violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act, many businesses across the country continue to prohibit individuals with service animals from entering their premises. The Disability Rights Task Force has prepared a document providing specific information about the legal requirements of this topic to assist businesses in complying voluntarily.

Guide Dogs for the Blind
"It is essential that our students have the ability to travel independently in their home area before training and with a Guide Dog. Guide Dog User, Inc. (GDUI)
Non-profit organization for people interested in guide dogs. As a member you receive four issues of their audio tape magazine, "PAWTRACKS", 11 issues of "The Braille Forum," the magazine of the American Council of the Blind and voting privileges at the GDUI annual national convention. GDUI is a special interest affiliate of the American Council of the Blind.
